Greg is already experiencing the sort of generosity that became a highlight of his last long journey in this country.
He is very grateful to the charming staff at the Ice House Restaurant.This morning they provided him with a free breakfast even though they were not open for business when he arrived after an early start followed by three hours of paddling.
Later Greg sheltered at the Hyde Park Boat Club while a storm passed through.
Tonight he phoned from the bar of the Rhinecliff , an inn just short of the Rhinecliff Bridge. His plan was to spend the night in a nearby park.
